Billy has first-hand experience creating and growing innovative startups; he founded Howard Lighting, a division of Howard Industries, in 1994. It has since expanded to include two manufacturing facilities as well as a regional distribution center and sales office in the Greater Los Angeles Area. Billy’s involvement leading major initiatives at Howard Industries has recently included launching the Center for Digital Innovation at Howard Industries and Slance.

Eric brings more than twenty years of experience launching successful digital businesses, notably iPressroom and Comply Socially. Through Schwartzman & Associates, Inc., he devised and executed campaigns for multinationals, federal government agencies, entertainment, and B2B clients. Through innovative applications of digital technology to marketing, communications and business process strategy, his work has profoundly changed the way organizations manage internal and external communications. He is also the bestselling co-author of Social Marketing to the Business Customer.
Eric is an eLearning industry veteran who has developed systems for all aspects of online learning, assessment and certification systems. He is fluent in the use of SCORM-compliant authoring tools and visualization products for measuring eLearning utilization. He has 28-years of experience covering a broad range of industries including software architecture and design, secondary and corporate education, curriculum and courseware development, eLearning and marketing. He has extensive experience deploying and managing eLearning content and learning management systems. He has been involved in web development since 1992 and has written software projects in over 20 computer languages. His software has been featured as a bundled application with Macintosh hardware.
Born amongst a family of artists, Alejandro finds his passion in anything design related. As with most artists, he searched a number of art schools to discover that design and artistic talent cannot be taught. After leaving the ArtCenter College of Pasadena in 2000 as a product designer, he started his career with a small advertising agency in Los Angeles. Here he received extensive training on photography and how to transfer design from pen and paper to digital reality. After mastering these skills, he moved to the world of print, working predominantly in the offset printing world. His knowledge of both print and multimedia environments makes him a valuable asset. From project managing web development for eCommerce sites and administration business information systems to branding a corporate identity, class and details go into every effort.
Cielo de la Paz
Cielo is an experienced director, designer and user experience professional. She has designed for and worked with major brands such as Sephora and Williams-Sonoma, as well as early-stage startups and high-profile entrepreneurs. Cielo has mentored and been an expert panelist for Stanford StartX and a panel judge and subject matter expert on User Experience for General Assembly. She has taught over 1,000 students in User Experience Design including wireframing, prototyping and usability testing. Her offline classes on Skillshare were extremely popular and she has conducted several on-site classes for startups and large corporations.
